Benjamin Barker returns to London after years of exile – with a new name and sinister intentions. As Sweeney Todd, he opens a barbershop above Mrs. Lovett's bakery on Fleet Street. He wants revenge on Judge Turpin, who once unjustly deported him to Australia in order to steal his wife and daughter. Todd's razor is meant to send Turpin to his doom. The macabre business model he devises with Mrs. Lovett suits him perfectly: a fresh shave is half the battle. The customers who take a seat in Todd's barber's chair end up one floor below – in Mrs. Lovett's meat pies, which soon become incredibly popular. While beggars wander the streets outside and sailors sing of love, madness takes hold of the barber – and sweeps everything away with it.

Something's definitely up! Gundula notices it immediately when she arrives at her good friend Sneiwitt's house. Sneiwitt's husband, Lafrenz, supposedly has to leave overnight on a business trip and is reluctant to leave his devoted wife alone. Luckily for Sneiwitt, the clever Gundula is already on to something. And indeed: Lafrenz has made a bet with his best friend and womanizer, Säutmund. If Säutmund is convinced that all women are easy, then it should be child's play for him to seduce Sneiwitt and, as proof, get his hands on her stocking. But the two women uncover this outrageous plot and hatch a ludicrous counter-plan to get their revenge on the men.

The curtain rises, come what may. And hopefully, no one notices that quite a few things are going wrong in this comedy – and not just for the couple in the play. They've accidentally invited not only their good friend and her new partner to the dinner party, but also her ex-husband. Under no circumstances can the two of them meet. In a series of ludicrous actions, the couple tries to cover up the mishap and prevent disaster as best they can. But there's even more turmoil behind the scenes! Right at the beginning of the play, one of the actors simply can't remember his lines. He thought just moments ago that he was there to do some voice-over work...

Then, a heated discussion erupted within the management team of "Feinwäsche Steinfels GmbH" (Steinfels Fine Laundry Ltd.). Some of the company's female employees felt excluded by the text on the wreath's ribbon, "In deep mourning, your employees," and the marketing department feared a social media backlash. Horst Bohne, the prospective managing director, wanted no use for such "wokeness" as gender asterisks. And so, a clash ensued between Boomers and Generation Z, between feminists and conservatives, about Me Too, sexist corporate advertising, body shaming…

For the first time, the Schwerin Ballet brings one of Schwerin's most fascinating stories to the stage: the legends of "Petermännchen" (Little Peter). Jonathan dos Santos and his ballet company breathe new life into these ancient legends by uniting storytelling, music, and movement in a unique ballet production. This innovative approach aims to honor Schwerin's rich tradition and simultaneously build a bridge between past and present. At the same time, the ballet production, Quid si sic, connects people of all generations, allowing them to experience the timeless magic of these legends together.

"Welcome to the club. The 'You're in Shit Club.'" That's how Sammy greets the new boy Ebenezer on the street in a grim housing estate. Sammy and Ebenezer know each other by sight from school. Ebenezer is smart and comes from an educated family; Sammy is rough, lively, and struggles with learning and social skills. The two become fast friends. Ebenezer was forced to move with his parents into the squalid high-rise where Sammy also lives. "It's only for a short time," his father said, but Sammy laughs at that. "My father said that too."

Reality check: Who are Schiller's robbers? Are there still marauding gangs among us today, living in forests and lying in wait to rob and even murder? No! We have our police, after all... Yes! But they've just moved their hiding places. Perhaps the club is their new nighttime hideout. By day, they chain themselves to trees and fences in all kinds of weather. They stick themselves to the streets while airing their grievances on social media.

Well, this could get interesting! Grandma died very old and very happily, but she left her family such precise instructions for her funeral that they're now facing several problems: Ludwigslust Palace isn't available for Grandma's service, the undertaker they wanted is now a struggling DJ in Güstrow, waiting for his big break, half the family is allergic to Grandma's favorite flowers (which Grandma knew, of course), and the eulogist can't come because his dog has depression. But Grandma's most unfulfillable wish is for harmony and peace among her loved ones. At least for one day! As fate would have it, in the old, musty community center where the family gathers, bad jokes, generational sensitivities, weariness of change and accusations all come together, along with an irrational but latent fear of being overrun by foreigners and the arrogance of a newly acquired Berlin environment that teaches them everything that's wrong with the people back home in East Germany. If Grandma had known that, she wouldn't have died.

Alice Moody demands one hundred thousand pounds. Otherwise, she'll tell the police that Miriam murdered their own father. Miriam, however, has no money. As a final act of cruelty, her father left his entire estate not to her, but to her sister Annabel, who ran away from home as a teenager. No sooner does Annabel step through the garden gate than Alice intercepts her: instead of Miriam, she's the one who's going to pay. But Annabel has little desire to part with her newfound wealth so quickly.
