World-class violinist Leonidas Kavakos returns to Berwaldhallen with Dmitri Shostakovich's second violin concerto from 1967, which was also the composer's last solo concerto. The Colombian violinist and conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada also leads the Svergies Radio Symphony Orchestra in three works by Richard Strauss; the symphonic poems Tod und Verklärung and Till Eulenspiegel's lustige Streiche as well as music from the opera Rosenkavalieren .
