Fantastic dances, distant waltzes and visions of a dream of Spain. For French composers like Ravel and Chaminade, Spain was a wonderland of the imagination – but for a Spaniard like Manel de Falla, it was something altogether wilder and more real. Charles Owen – a born storyteller at the piano – takes us south, for a concert filled with both shadows and sunshine.
