As trailblazers of the early 2000s indie-Americana style, the Louisville, KY-based quintet finds a way of taking tried & true rock-and-roll and knocking it slightly off axis, into tottering revolutions of something eerie, emotional, immediate, lush, and uniquely theirs.

People have been arguing about punk rock since the big bang that created that high decibel universe. The Damned were at the heart of that revolution and have returned like resurrected vampires to take back the(ir) punk rock crown.

One of music’s “most reliable and empathetic songwriters” (Pitchfork), Mary Chapin Carpenter has sold over 16 million records over the course of her renowned career. With hits like “Passionate Kisses” and “He Thinks He’ll Keep Her,” she has won five Grammy Awards (with 18 nominations), two CMA Awards, two ACM Awards and is one of only fifteen female members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Carpenter’s record One Night Lonely was nominated for Best Folk Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, and in 2023 the songwriter was awarded the Poet’s Award at the ACM Honors, recognizing outstanding and longstanding musical and lyrical contributions throughout her career. Most recently, Carpenter unveiled her new podcast, “Hope is a Muscle,” which finds her in conversation with people from all walks of life. During its run, the podcast was in the top five music podcasts on both Apple and Spotify Platforms. In early 2025 the album Looking for the Thread, a collaborative recording with Scottish singer-songwriters Karine Polwart and Julie Fowlis, was released worldwide. Of the album, The Arts Desk wrote, “It’s only January but this is an album of the year.”

Russian rock, born under strict Soviet censorship and total prohibitions, and surviving during the transformative time of perestroika in the late 80s and early 90s, is unimaginable without the band DDT. It has always occupied a special niche in Russian rock and music as a whole. Through the songs of Yuri Shevchuk and the vibrant performances of his band, one can study the history of modern Russia with its sharp, unpredictable turns. DDT's songs are not just music; they are a chronicle of contemporary times, the history and soul of the country. The band's musical language has changed dramatically over the years, ranging from rhythm and blues to jazz, industrial, and indie music. Acute social issues are expressed in notes of philosophical lyrics. Throughout its long creative life, DDT has released dozens of popular albums and toured the country and the world with several major conceptual concert programs that widely utilize modern multimedia technologies. The band is known for its original video works, created with renowned directors and artists not only from Russia but from various countries. They compose music for film and Yuri Shevchuk has published two poetry collections to date. The band is also actively involved in charity work, among other endeavors. No matter what happens in our complex, fragile world, Shevchuk's songs always offer two important things for contemporaries in any corner of the earth: truth and hope. Perhaps this explains his phenomenal popularity over the decades.

Born and bred on an island as densely populated as Montreal just without any of the culture, Brendan B Brown did what Andrew Carnegie did, he beat the odds. Taking the unprecedented decision of forming a band in New York City at the age of 22, Brendan took his father’s nickname of “wedus” and his mother’s penchant for rare fabrics and formed Wheatus. Wheatus became known in some circles as the greatest band to play the Mercury Lounge and eventually signed to Columbia Records who released the first two Wheatus records, kinda. After the major label life and the success of Wheatus’s debut single “Teenage Dirtbag,” Brown continued Wheatus and released five more records before the band’s renaissance would take place after “Teenage Dirtbag” was covered by One Direction. Since then, Wheatus, still led by Brown, has enjoyed a renewed interest with their songs covered by the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Sza, Jax, Ruston Kelly and touring with such acts as Dashboard Confessional, Living Colour, Everclear, and many more. Brendan B Brown has taken the success in stride and wants you to join the ride. Get in. Join the Dirtbag

Amyl and The Sniffers have already had a monster year, destroying the main stages of European summer festivals, supporting Foo Fighters on their recent US stadium run, and selling out their own headline tours in the US, UK and Europe, including three consecutive nights at the 3,000-capacity Roundhouse in London. They are the main support for Fontaines DC’s 45,000 capacity Finsbury Park show in July 2025 (already sold out) and have just announced their biggest headline ever at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Since going viral with their LA Public Library performance of their song “Racist, Sexist, Boy” the world has watched The Linda Lindas scream about injustice, sing about growing up and exhibit the kind of altruism that is so meaningful to the punk scene. While their evolution as writers, performers and studio geeks is clear on No Obligation, their ethos remain steadfast. The band has released three great album cuts so far, the anxiety filled ”Too Many Things,” the scorcher “Revolution / Resolution,” and the album’s addictive lead single “All In My Head”. With all four musicians each contributing to the writing and lead-singing, the songs are as varied and dynamic as the girls themselves, however the listener always senses the underpinning of both their shared world-view and their bond.

For flipturn, success didn't arrive overnight. It grew steadily with every show, from college house shows at the University of Florida to sold-out venues across the entire country, earning
the band an international reputation as an indie rock powerhouse. By the time flipturn released their debut album, Shadowglow, in 2022, they'd become genuine road warriors while still in their mid-20s, growing their audience with festival appearances (including acclaimed sets at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Governor's Ball) and shows alongside Two Door Cinema Club,The Revivalists, Mt. Joy, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise.
