Brahms and the Schumanns

The New York Philharmonic writes:

A Romantic night at the Phil. After playing Clara Schumann’s solo Romance, Leif Ove Andsnes turns to her husband, Robert, whose Piano Concerto traverses a landscape at times melancholic, passionate, and delicate. The concert concludes with a Brahms serenade; Clara, his muse and confidante, compared listening to its <em>Adagio</em> to gazing “at each filament of a wondrous flower.
