More details
From its mysterious introduction to its buoyant finale, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto brings the listener on a stirring journey. Violinist María Dueñas (“nothing short of remarkable,” Gramophone) makes her NY Phil debut as the soloist in this apex of the violin repertoire. Conductor Manfred Honeck offers his own arrangement of music from Richard Strauss’s opera Elektra, one of that composer’s most intoxicating scores.
