A fiendish mirror, crafted by the Devil himself, distorts all that is good into ugliness and absurdity. When it shatters, its shards fall upon the human world, where the children Kay and Gerda share a profound friendship. However, when a splinter from the mirror lodges in Kay's eye, it transforms his joy and enthusiasm for life into disdain and calculating cynicism.
