About

Jaap van Zweden conducts Mozart’s Symphony No. 39. From the stately Adagio to intimate moments expressed by the mellow sound of clarinets (an instrument the composer loved!), it shows his mastery of the form. Plus a World Premiere by Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw, part of Project 19, which features Roomful of Teeth (“a kind of lab experiment for the human voice” — The New Yorker).
