"Country Hits: Songs from Nashville" promises a spectacular celebration of Country music, featuring timeless classics and contemporary hits. Experience the heart and soul of Country music with symphonic arrangements of songs from legends like Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash, as well as today's stars including Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, The Chicks, and Kacey Musgraves. The evening will showcase the talents of Nashville’s bright young vocal stars Grace Leer and Rick Brantley, accompanied by four of Nashville’s top instrumentalists, all under the baton of Grammy-winner Jeff Tyzik.

Gates open at 6:00 PM, with the concert beginning at 7:30 PM. In case of rain, a make-up date is set for Saturday, July 27th. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating. Picnics are welcome, though hard liquor is not permitted. On-site beverage/bar service and food concessions will be available for purchase. 

Tickets go on sale on April 29th. They can be purchased through the Hartford Symphony Orchestra website, over the phone, or in person at the Bushnell Box Office. Whether you're an aspiring musician or a seasoned performer, the Farmington River Community Jam is the perfect opportunity to make music with new friends and showcase your talents. We welcome all ages and abilities to participate in this unique play and sing-along event. From banjos to violins, tubas to trumpets, and even unconventional instruments like paper bags and spoons, any acoustic instrument is welcome. Vocalists are also encouraged to join in the fun!

Please note that no power outlets will be available, so performers should bring their own music stands. Chairs will be provided for your convenience. Once registered, a songbook featuring music from various decades will be emailed to you, ensuring everyone can join in regardless of musical preference.
