Opera North presents a captivating production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's timeless opera, "The Magic Flute." This enchanting performance, directed by James Brining and featuring a colorful design by Colin Richmond alongside imaginative video by Douglas O’Connell, invites audiences into a world where the lines between day and night blur in the quest for love and truth.

**Synopsis:**
Join Prince Tamino in his adventurous quest to rescue Pamina, the daughter of the Queen of the Night, from the clutches of Sarastro, the Priest of the Sun. With the help of Papageno, the bird-catcher, and a magical flute, they navigate a world filled with trials, discovering that things are not always as they seem. Mozart's masterpiece combines heart-melting arias, dazzling vocal fireworks, and a story celebrating the reconciling power of music and imagination.

Following the success of previous titles, including Red Riding Hood, Dick Whittington and Beauty and the Beast, Leeds’s favourite panto will return to The Varieties for the festive period.

A very different format to the traditional Christmas pantomime, Rock ‘n’ Roll Pantos mix traditional elements of audience participation and corny gags with a jukebox full of classic rock anthems and chart-toppers, all performed live on stage by an ultra-talented cast of actor-musicians.

Willy Russell’s legendary musical tells the captivating and moving tale of twins separated at birth, who grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences. Few musicals have been received with such acclaim as the multi-award winning Blood Brothers. The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe, Easy Terms and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.
