Join us for an unforgettable afternoon with ArcoStrum, a dynamic duo comprised of international prizewinning artists, guitarist Tengyue TY Zhang and violinist Strauss Shi. Known for their dazzling violin-guitar virtuosity and joyful on-stage chemistry, ArcoStrum promises to captivate audiences with their unique blend of classical, Latin American, and Chinese music.

- **Radamés Gnattali:** Suite Retratos for Guitar and Violin
- **Astor Piazzolla:** Tango Suite for Guitar and Violin
- **Antonio Vivaldi:** Selections from The Four Seasons

All selections are specially arranged by Zhang and Shi, showcasing their innovative approach to mixed-genre, multi-cultural, and cross-era music.

**Artist Background:**
- **Tengyue TY Zhang:** Recognized for his deeply expressive artistry, Zhang won the Grand Prize in the 2017 International Concert Artist Competition by the Guitar Foundation of America. He is celebrated for his outstanding recordings, performances, and teaching.
- **Strauss Shi:** A classically trained violinist with deep roots in Chinese traditional music, Shi is known for his multi-instrumental talents and his role as Artistic Director of the North America Chinese Youth Orchestra.

Despite numerous personnel changes, including the exit of iconic lead singer Natalie Merchant in 1993, 10,000 Maniacs has remained dynamic and steadfast. Their live performances feature songs from all eras, showcasing a signature blend of glimmering joy and rich melancholy that captivates audiences across generations.

- **Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra by Francis Poulenc:** Piano soloist and conductor Ian Hobson will be joined by his wife, award-winning pianist Muen Wei, to showcase the romantic lyricism of the middle movement, Larghetto.

Experience the rich musical heritage of the Czech Republic as the Czech National Philharmonic Orchestra of Moravia makes its debut US tour with an all-Dvorák program. This esteemed orchestra, one of the oldest in the Czech Republic, is based in Moravia’s historic capital, Olomouc. Under the leadership of chief conductor Zsolt Hamar and principal guest conductor Christian Knüsel, the orchestra is renowned for its authentic interpretations of Czech national music and its significant contributions to the region's cultural life.

**Program Details:**

1. **In Nature’s Realm, Op. 91**  
   The concert opens with this lush and vibrant overture, reflecting Dvorák’s deep reverence for nature in all its diversity.

2. **Cello Concerto in B Minor, Op. 104**  
   A profoundly lyrical piece, showcasing the emotional depth and technical prowess of the soloist (TBA).

3. **Slavonic Dances, Op. 46**  
   The program concludes with these rousing and colorfully orchestrated dances, a testament to Dvorák’s mastery in capturing the spirit of Czech folk music.
