The concert series kicks off on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 7:30 pm, followed by a second performance on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 7:30 pm, and concludes with a matinee on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 3:00 pm. These performances are a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Dvořák’s most beloved symphony, the Ninth, also known as "From the New World." Adding to the excitement, the concerts will feature the DSO debut of Charles Yang, a member of the acclaimed string ensemble Time for Three. Bowers, an Emmy Award-winning composer known for his work on "The Green Book," "Bridgerton," and "King Richard," ventures into the orchestral realm with this piece, marking his first concert work for orchestra.

Tours each day will take place at 10:00AM and 11:00AM. All tours start in the Winspear Opera House lobby. Tours are 45 minutes in duration and include a visit to the Wyly Theatre. There is no need to make a reservation.

Running from December 6th to December 15th, 2024, at various times, this festive event promises to fill the air with the glorious sounds of the season. Under the baton of conductor Lawrence Loh, the performances will feature the magnificent Dallas Symphony Chorus and the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus, led by chorus director Anthony Blake Clark and artistic director Ellie Lin, respectively. Adding to the magic will be the extraordinary talents of vocalists Capathia Jenkins, a renowned actress and star of Broadway, TV, and movies, and Ryan Shaw, a three-time GRAMMY-nominated artist. Together, they will perform a collection of your favorite seasonal songs, carols, and thrilling choruses.

The concert series will also include special appearances by the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus at the matinee performances, ensuring a heartwarming experience for all ages. Bradley Hunter Welch, the resident organist, will further elevate the performances with his mastery.
