This captivating play unfolds on a small fishing boat in the Alabama Delta, where Betty and Kendra, two lovers at odds, navigate the turbulent waters of change and the status quo. As the evening progresses, their playful banter takes a volatile turn, revealing the profound weight of their unspoken words. Will they move past pretense, or will their love drift away in the face of pooled resentment?

"The Gulf" has been honored with the 2018 Lammy for LGBTQ Drama and will be performed in the intimate setting of the Walker Theatre-in-the-round, promising an immersive experience. Critics have lauded the play for its evocative storytelling, soulful intimacy, and the seamless blend of humor and heart. It's described as a must-see for anyone interested in realistic theatre that pushes the boundaries of love and possibility.

A versatile young vocalist and bandleader whose taste for classic jazz spans the 20s through the 40s, Stella Heath presents an evening of music “From Billie Holiday to Edith Piaf”. Holiday and Piaf had many parallels in their lives, from great success to great tragedy, and both had an ability to live in the depth and nuance of the songs they sang, carrying their audiences along with them. Stella showcases her love of American swing along with her love of French chanson and Jazz manouche with an all star band, featuring Bay Area accordionist Rob Reich, in the style of Django Reinhardt.
