TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND presents a FREE masterclass with GIBNEY COMPANY. Ballet Classes taught by Gibney Company embrace this time-tested aesthetic as a tool toward developing strength, honing coordination and extending possibilities. Rooted in utilizing sensation as a way to cultivate a balance between rigor and ease, these classes encourage dancers to braid in momentum-based contemporary dance concepts, while also valuing the specific architecture of ballet. We both honor the legacy of the form and simultaneously reimagine it in real time.

His musical influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, Santana, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, John Mayer and many more. As a musician, he loves that there are endless possibilities with creating music, therefore one can never stop learning something new!

The beat of the drums is the pulse of who we are – it’s our heartbeat, like being home. The performance will feature guest artists, including nationally recognized Giwayen Mata, an all-female dance, percussion, and vocal ensemble, the award-winning Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and the acclaimed DeSoto A Cappella Choir and Varsity Women, all presenting inspirational performances that capture the spirit of African traditions.

Lead by the incomparable powerhouse female vocals of Mrs. Aurora this band lights up the stage with its vibrant sounds captivating vocals and nostalgic style.

Strange Girl, a.k.a. Devin Berg, is an award-winning DFW theatre artist known for playing murderous villains (see Ghost Quartet and LIZZIE: the Lizzie Borden Rock Musical at Imprint Theatreworks in 2019) turned alt-pop musician. She made the triumphant return to songwriting and producing during the pandemic as a way to deal with heartbreak, now her sound has evolved into a homemade fairy world: ethereal, grating, and honest. She takes inspiration from artists like St. Vincent, Dijon Duenas, and Ethel Cain as well as the retrofuturism and surrealist automatism. A Dallas native and TCU grad, she is ready to share her sound with her hometown.

The 8th Annual Art Walk West, presented by the West Dallas Chamber of Commerce, will take place Saturday, October 22. Explore the West Dallas creative movement with a self-guided tour and enjoy a performance by all-star Selena Tribute band, Bidi Bidi Banda! From live art mural paintings to a variety of studio and gallery exhibits, it will be a celebration of local art that you won’t want to miss!

Texas Jury Jam is more than a band…it is a family. Whether it is inside the practice room, on the stage or just hanging out with our loved ones, this is truly a tight knit group who enjoy each other’s company and respect one another’s skills. Comprised of three best friends who have played music together for 30 years, the foundation is solid. When you combine that with two young superstars in their own right, what you have is high energy, feel good rock and roll. Our shows are designed to offer the crowd a little taste of everything they want to hear. We choose covers that are not only easily recognizable, but fun to play. One of the things we do love to do is put our own spin on each song, so everyone, including us, goes home having enjoyed a great musical experience.

NRITYAGRAM DANCE ENSEMBLE (India) in collaboration with CHITRASENA DANCE COMPANY (Sri Lanka) is a stunning partnership that celebrates centuries of rich Indian and Sri Lankan cultures. The artists from Nrityagram are dedicated to the practice of Odissi dance, a 2,000-year old classical form of India. Though steeped in, and dedicated to ancient practice, these artists are committed to carrying Indian dance into the twenty-first century. Āhuti is a stunningly rich and powerful blending of Odissi and Kandyan dance practiced by The Chitrasena Dance Company.
